Central Services
Central Services consists of Academic Services and the Administrative Director, and is jointly run by the managers of both units.
The duties of Central Services are:
- Responsibility for financial management, personnel management, academic management, teaching and research management, quality management, infrastructure management, information management and procurement management.
- To perform central services for the Executive Board of the University and the university as a whole: faculties, institutes, departments, professors, staff and students.
- To introduce and develop specialist expertise, knowledge transfer and expert advice in all areas of responsibility.
- To represent the university in national and international committees.
- To act as an interface with the joint facilities of the University of Lucerne campus, with the Main and University Library (ZHB), the University of Teacher Education Central Switzerland (PHZ), the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), institutes with close links to the university, and cantonal administrative bodies.
