PhD program
The PhD program with an enrollment at the Graduate School of Lucerne (GSL) leads to the academic title Doktorin/Doktor der Philosophie" (Dr. phil.) or "Doctor of Philosophy" (PhD) as it is known in English. The title is awarded to doctoral students who have successfully completed the PhD program, published a significant corpus of research showing their intellectual maturity, and adequately defended their research in an oral examination.
The PhD program is divided into two parts: structured teaching and research (PhD thesis).
The offered courses for the structured teaching part are exclusively in English and include the following topics:
