Curriculum Vitae

After his education in Sociology at the University of Bielefeld (Diploma 1989, Ph.D 1995) Raimund Hasse was appointed to the position of Lecturer at the Institute for Sociology, University of Aachen, Germany. He then continued his post-doctoral education with a Habilitation in Sociology (post-doctoral qualification as full professor) in 2002. From 2003 to 2004 he was the Founding Coordinator of the NRW Graduate School “RGS Econ” at RWI Essen.

Since then Raimund Hasse is teaching and researching in “Sociology: Organization and Knowledge” at the University of Lucerne. He is also the Director of the Institute for Communication and Culture (ICC) (since 2005) and Vice Dean of the Department of Culture and Social Sciences (since 2007).

Research stays abroad at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA (from 1998 to 1999 Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) as well as at the University of Trondheim, Norway (Visiting Professor every summer semester since 2000).
