The main objective of preparatory visits is to help higher education institutions to establish contacts with prospective partner institutions with a view to establishing bilateral ERASMUS agreements. (Teaching) staff of the University of Lucerne may visit prospective partners or invite them to visit the University of Lucerne. Interested (teaching) staff members have the possibility to apply for grants to (partially) finance travel and accommodation expenses.

The main objective of ERASMUS preparatory visits is helping to establish contacts with prospective partner institutions with a view to foster cooperation within the ERASMUS programme. These actions can be financially supported with special grants.

Procedure

After consulting with the own department and faculty, the (teaching) staff member of the University of Lucerne contacts the prospective partner institution, in order to plan the preparatory visit. The planning of the preparatory visit (duration of the visit, schedule etc.) has to be done by the (teaching) staff member.
Once the first contact with the prospective partner university is established, the (teaching) staff member contacts the Head of International Relations Office of the University of Lucerne (Chantal Vögeli; L_hc__ulinu--ilegeov__latnahc) in order to discuss the further steps.

An early planning of the preparatory visit is necessary for ensuring its successful realisation.

(Teaching) staff of the University of Lucerne can apply for a grant for (partially) covering travel and accommodation expenses.
