Karolina Kuprecht studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Zürich (1992 – 1997) mit Erasmus Semester an der Universität Leiden. Sie absolvierte das LL.M. Nachdiplomstudium an der UCLA, University of California, Los Angeles mit den Schwerpunkten internationales Handelsrecht und Kulturgüterrecht, erwarb im Jahre 2002 das Rechtsanwalts- und Notariatspatent und arbeitet seither als Rechtsanwältin und Notarin im Bereich internationales Wirtschaftsrecht.
Für das i-call Forschungszentrum arbeitet sie seit Oktober 2008. Sie unterstützt Prof. Christoph Beat Graber als stellvertretende Leiterin (ad interim) im IT ICH Forschungsprojekt und fokussiert in ihrer persönlichen Forschungsarbeit auf die Restitutionsansprüche indigener Völker im Bezug auf ihre materiellen Kulturgüter.


Karolina Kuprecht studied law at the University of Zurich (1992 – 1997) including one semester as an Erasmus student at the University of Leiden. She received the LL.M. degree from UCLA, University of California, Los Angeles where she focused on international trade and cultural property law.
In 2002 she took the bar and notary public exam and has been working since then as an attorney-at-law and notary public specialised in international business law.
She is a collaborator at i-call research centre with Prof. Christoph Beat Graber since October 2008 and acts as alternate project leader (acting) in the IT-ICH research project. In her personal research she focuses on the restitution claims of indigenous peoples with regard to their tangible cultural property.
