Signing of a Bilateral ERASMUS Agreement
If an ERASMUS agreement with a certain university does not already exist (please check corresponding overview in the sidebox), after consultation with their superior, teaching staff members contact the Head of the International Relations Office of the University of Lucerne in order to sign a bilateral ERASMUS agreement with the corresponding partner university. For further information on the signing of agreements please click here.
to topContact the ERASMUS Partner University
As soon as the bilateral ERASMUS agreement has been signed, or if such an agreement already exists, the teaching staff member has to contact the respective department of the partner university in order to settle the conditions and organisation of the exchange (time period of exchange, duration, type of teaching assignment, possible working space etc.).
The Mobility Office of the University of Lucerne does not place teaching staff at ERASMUS partner universities. Teaching staff members, who want to do an exchange, are responsible for the organisation of the exchange.
Application for the Exchange
Once the teaching staff member and the host university do agree on the organisation of the exchange, the teaching staff member has to file his/her formal application on behalf of the Mobility Office of the University of Lucerne. Teaching staff of the University of Lucerne can apply for a grant for (partially) covering travel and accommodation expenses. The paid allowances are based on the regulations of the ERASMUS-programme. A detailed list of the allowance rates per host country is available at the Mobility Office.
Please consult the corresponding regulations and forms as downloads in the box on the right.
Selection of Applications
The selection process is being done by the Mobility Office in consultation with the department and/or faculty (and Human Ressources, if applicable) as well as the Head of the International Relations Office. Applications will be checked individually and prioritised, if necessary.
Reimbursement of Expenses and Final Report
Once the exchange is over, in order to receive a reimbursement the teaching staff member has to file his/her travel expenses (with original receipts) on behalf of the Mobility Office.
Additionally, a report has to be filed on behalf of the Mobility Office. Please use the corresponding form as download in the box on the right.
