The Start of the Graduate School

The Graduate School began on February 2010 with the entering into force of the new doctoral regulations (Promotionsordnung). The doctoral program started in the fall semester 2010.

Graduates

PhD students in line with the doctoral program regulations may be:

• Scholarship holders of GSL,
• Scientific staff including faculty positions and externally funded projects,
• PhD students that are not working for the University of Lucerne and that do not hold a scholarship from the GSL.

Admission to the Graduate School

• All graduates that begin their doctoral studies as of the spring semester 2010 are automatically members of the Graduate School. The management board decides admission to the doctoral program.
• Doctoral candidates that started their research before February first 2010 have the possibility to join the Graduate School. For information and registration please contact the coordinator.
• The Graduate School is also open for PhD students that are currently not members of the former. In this case, however, the Graduate School does not certify studies.

Application

In order to join the doctoral program, support from a faculty member is required. Please contact first a potential supervisor.
