Project Leadership
Prof. Dr. Martina Merz heads up the project and coordinates the outcome of the sub-projects each of which addresses a specific level of analysis. In addition, she analyzes the epistemic practice of nanoscale research with a special interest in imaging, modeling and simulation.

Researchers
Daniela Baus investigates scientific culture in nanoscale research from a cultural anthropological perspective. With ethnographic methods she analyzes cultural symbols and images related to the nanoscale as they occur during daily work. Furthermore she explores the symbolic relations between scientists and their devices as well as their professional identity.

Peter Biniok explores the organization of the scientific field. In doing so the interrelation between interactions and structures will be characterised and notably technology as application and constitutive component will be integrated in the analysis.
