Jon M. Ebersole, MA, MS, Researcher (Projects)

Bild Jon Ebersole joined our team in October 2007 to work on the Comparative Constitutional Law Project. Born in Kansas (1956) and raised in Pennsylvania, USA. He recieved his BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Earlham College followed by a T.J. Watson "Wanderjahr" Fellowship for the study of ethnic and international conflict in Lebanon, Ireland, E. & W. Germany. His MA in Cultural Anthropology was completed at the State University of New York, on a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship. His MS in International Public Administration at New York University included an Adjunct Fellowship at the Center for International Studies of the NYU School of Law.

He has worked in headquarters (New York, Geneva, Paris) and field locations (Jerusalem, Beirut, Angola) for NGOs including the Mennonite Central Committee, Aspen Institute, and World Conference of Religions for Peace, and for intergovernmental organizations including the United Nations (Officer in Political Affairs, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs) and the OECD where he was Coordinator and Special Advisor for the Task Force on Conflict, Peace and Development Cooperation. His areas of specialization include human rights, humanitarian relief, development assistance, and peacebuilding.
